Chiropractic Care
Restoring Spine and Nervous System Integrity
At Belle Haven Family Chiropractic, we use a model spine to show you what a healthy spine looks like and to demonstrate how misalignments affect the spine and how restrictions in spinal motion create nervous system interference and correlate with other conditions in your body. Chiropractic adjustments work by correcting misalignments to reduce symptoms and restore normal function.
We think of adjustments as going back in time—we want to get to the root cause of the problem and get your frame back to its original alignment so your nervous system can function as it should. Since everything is governed by the nervous system, correcting issues here improves function throughout the entire body.
Medications generally just mask symptoms, whereas chiropractic care seeks to identify and correct the underlying cause of your condition and correct it at its source so you can experience healing and true health.
NEW PATIENTS
Full Spine Exams
You may come in with pain in your lower back or right shoulder, but our approach is to conduct full spine exams no matter what. Nothing is isolated, and we strive to uncover everything that’s going on, so we can treat the big picture. As “body engineers,” we’re knowledgeable about how the various systems of the body interact to create an entirely healthy, functioning person. Holistic health refers to treating the body as a whole, and that’s exactly what we do.
Our Techniques
We offer a variety of chiropractic adjusting techniques as well as physical therapeutic modalities to achieve your goals. Our primary techniques include:
- Ultra Sound Therapy
- Diversified
- E-stim
- Flexion distraction
- Dry Needling
- Herbs/homeopathy advice
- Intersegmental traction
- Lumbar traction
- Nutrition/supplement counseling
- Activator Methods®
In addition, we refer out to specialist partners for physical therapy, if your condition requires it.
No Need to Be Nervous
Most people find adjustments to be quite comfortable because all we are doing is restoring a joint to its original, normal position—it’s where the bone wants to be. Any popping sounds you hear are just gas bubbles popping when we move the joint, exactly the same as when you crack your knuckles.
